DOG DAY AFTERNOON: Joel Monaghan of Canberra Raiders Quit

Well, everybody must have heard about the Australian rugby player who was caught on camera being blown by a dog (NSFW pic here ). He just quit. I'm not so sure I agree. The guy was drunk at the time & that means he wasn't in full control of his faculties. I was more appalled by the reaction really. Sportsmen are only to be good in their sports. Do you think the average Joe who buys tickets to watch a game won't go & watch a game just because a good player got blown by a dog when he was drunk? I say, they are giving more influence than necessary to the self-righteous kibitzers who are more likely than not aren't avid fans of the games in the first place anyway. Sports has its own jungle & it doesn't need alien morality prescriptions. Why should a sports hero be a model to the youth? Who said so? The youth of the world have their own parents. The sports hero only has to play well & win the game.

My Own Private Sportsbar

I am a sportsbar person. There's something with the carefree beer-driven rush one gets within its walls.
Best to go there with a buddy, down pitchers of your favorite draft, while watching the latest NFL game on
the big screen, all the while ogling not quite surreptitiously the chick with the million-dollar legs  in the counter. It won't take long before you can't take it no more & approach her- hey, how about a one night stand?

A sportsbar. Sports. Heroes. Games. Adrenaline. Spirits.Real men. Real women. Sex.

That's our blog. Anything goes in our own private sportsbar.
